Thanks for spending some time to look at my designs.
I am a contemporary silversmith, creating hand-made original pieces of jewellery and silverware in sterling silver and 9ct gold. My designs are made as unique pieces or as a limited range and I design and make them from my her two workshops, one which is in a small village called St Michel et Chanveaux, North West France and the other in the village of Haydon Bridge on the River Tyne in Northumberland. I am registered with Edinburgh Assay Office for hallmarking her work and I love the hallmark because it is the castle.
The main element of my designs is the metal itself. Sterling silver has the ability to reflect the colours next to it and the mix of gold with it also gives it another dimension but my main passion is using different forms of texture and finishes to enhance the metals. My jewellery designs may also incorporate precious and semi-precious stones.
The inspiration for my work comes from the rural area in which I live, flowers, leaves and natural materials is evident in my designs but I also enjoy experimenting with new ideas and techniques.
